ENVISION: The Solution for Sustainable InfrastructureEnvision® is a holistic sustainability framework and rating system that enables a thorough examination of the sustainability and resiliency of all types of civil infrastructure. It is the only comprehensive tool in North America that can assist government agencies and their consultants and contractors in delivering infrastructure that tackles climate change, addresses public health needs, cultivates environmental justice, creates jobs, and spurs economic recovery.
Our speaker, Colleen Scholl, will discuss the basics of the Envision process, some of the Envision projects that HDR has been involved with, and how the Envision process was used on the Riverfront Revitalization Project in downtown Omaha.

Meet our speaker: Colleen Scholl
Colleen Scholl is Senior Vice President with HDR, an architecture, engineering, and environmental services firm headquartered in Omaha, NE. As Director of Professional Services, Colleen leads the technical staff involved in the execution of projects for private sector industrial clients by focusing on strengthening and expanding technical expertise, ensuring delivery of quality products and services, and promoting and leading innovation. Prior to joining HDR in 2012, She spent nearly 20 years with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms involved in the design, construction, and commissioning of power generating facilities around the world. Colleen served on the Board of Directors for the Society of Women Engineers for 4 years including a term as Society President in 2015. Presently, she serves on the Wisconsin State Board of Architects, Landscape Architects, Professional Engineers, Designers, and Professional Land Surveyors, serves as chair of an ASME Research and Technology Committee, and is executive sponsor for the HDR Women’s Employee Network Group. In her personal life, Colleen lives in Whitewater, Wisconsin with her husband Mark and two furry feline children and is an avid scuba diver.
